This is an itinerary for those with little time. A day spent on the lagoon with Venice as the enchanting backdrop. Among the islands and salt deposits will be a visit to S. Erasmo and Torcello. |

Little more than a century ago the island of Sant'Erasmo separated the lagoon from the sea. Thanks to its temperate climate and fertile land, the island has become known as "Venice's vegetable garden". | ||||||||||||||||
| Torcello was the first Venetian settlement on the lagoon. Its beautiful cathedral was the seat of the Patriarchate before it transferred to Venice. As well as vegetable plots and gardens, there is a museum containing objects from the Serenissima. | |||||||||||||||||
